The Clique by: Lisi Harrison July 1, 2009

I started The Clique on 6/30/09. I was in Borders yesterday, and I had bought the new book by Sara Shepard, and the new addition to the series, Pretty Little Liars, and I had some extra time so I was looking at the clearance books, and I found the book for three dollars!! So, I thought, why not? The book is full of drama. If you’re that kind of a book reader, you’ll love the gossipy, over-privileged spirit of this series! This book is about four privileged  best friends named Massie Block, Dylan Marvil, Alicia Rivera, and Kristin Gregory. And let’s not forget the jealous Claire Lyons, from Florida, living in Massie’s guest house until her family can find their own new home. One glance from the four best friends and they sum her up as a poor girl, with last season’s clothes, and a future that was worse than a Prada knockoff. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!The Clique 1

I finished Inner Circle; the sixth book in the thrilling series Private on 6/30/09. In this addition to the series, Reed believes that everything at Easton is about to change now that Kiran, Noelle, Taylor, and Arianna are gone. She was right, things have changed at Easton, just not how she expected it to. Someone else in Billings has become too power hungry to take, and in the name of Noelle Reed Brennan was not about to let Billings be ripped to shreds. Things become personal, and her relation ship with Josh becomes shaky. Can she fix it? Things not only have changed for Reed at school, but also at home, with a sober mother, she actually feels like there may be hope. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!!!

I started Confessions; the fifth book in the riveting series Private on 6/26/09. When Josh is in custody Reed can’t stop worrying, while everyone else is acting normal. Studying for finals, how to sneak into the boys’ dorm, or if it’s cold enough to wear a two-ply cashmere. Reed is convinced that Josh is innocent and she’s going to prove it. She’s ready to dig deep, and the deeper she digs, the more secrets she finds. When she finds the second biggest secret yet, she decides to call the cops. When she can’t find her phone she uses Natasha’s on the roof, where she finds the biggest secret that killed Thomas, and it was ready to killer her too. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!!Confessions

Untouchable by: Kate Brian June 29, 2009

Filed under: All, Kate Brian — andreasays1 @ 9:00 pm

I started Untouchable; the third book in the Private series on 6/24/09. Thomas is dead. No one knows what happened, or why. Or do they? Life at Easton has begun to feel different. Taylor is acting like the poster child for Prozac, Kiran is spiking…well, everything. Noelle is being…..nice. And Arianna is acting like nothing has happened. Thanksgiving break comes around and Reed isn’t going home to her drugged mother, boring town, and supposed Thanksgiving dinner. There’s one more person not going home either….Josh. Reed and Josh are forced to confront their feelings for each other. When break ends, and she confronts the Billings girls with the news, they give the opposite reaction than Reed expected. Josh is starting to look like a suspect for Thomas’s death. The perfect life Reed has accomplished is starting to crumble, and as Josh’s guilt begins to seem believable to some, Reed goes somewhere she doesn’t want to go. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!!!!!Untouchable

Invitation Only by: Kate Brian June 29, 2009

Filed under: All, Kate Brian — andreasays1 @ 8:39 pm

I started Invitation Only; the second book in the Private series on 6/18/09. The unbelievable has happened, and Reed Brennan is a Billings girl now. She had to risk everything to get there, but it was worth it. Now, with her new status comes respect, envy, opportunity, and of course, the parties. But, at a party in the woods, a new guy shows up, Walt Whittaker. A roommate takes a couple of disgracing photos of her and Walt, and she’s blackmailed. She can either dig up the dirt on powerful Billings girls, or say bye to Easton, and hello to her drugged mother. Back to the parties, the Legacy is coming up and she has to find out how to get an invitation, because she finds out that Thomas will be there, and she needs to see him again. Life at Billings is as glamorous as she thought, but she didn’t know that the private lies were apart of the package. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!Invitations only

Private by: Kate Brian June 29, 2009

Filed under: All, Kate Brian — andreasays1 @ 8:22 pm

Recently, I started this new series called Private on 6/6/09. Reed Brennan is a normal small town girl with an opportunity to go to the most prestigious school  Easton Acadamy. When she arrives at the campus with her father she can only imagine the education she was about to receive. While being overwhelmed with checking her schedule, she runs into someone that would change her life forever. While sitting in her new dorm room that night, looking out her window she sees The Billings girls, as she stared out at them, she couldn’t believe how careless, and full of pure happiness they all were dancing around with the window wide-open drinking wine, just waiting for someone to come along and expel them, but they didn’t care. There she was looking in, never thinking that she could be apart of it. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!

Speak by: Laurie Halse Anderson June 29, 2009

Filed under: All, Laurie Halse Anderson — andreasays1 @ 8:08 pm

speak2I read Speak; the inspirational award winner on 5/28/09. Have you ever done something that you’ve tried to explain to others, but they just don’t want to listen and just don’t get it? Well, Melinda Sordino knows it, maybe better than anyone. Over the Summer she called the cops on an end of the summer party for good reason. Mistakes. Big. Mistakes. She regrets a lot, the party, and what happened at the party. Now, school’s started again and she has no one to sit with at first assembly, to walk into school on the first day with, sit with at lunch, walk with between classes. Almost like a shy first day at a new school, but for her it was worse, because what if you had to do all of that and know that every person behind those school doors hated you. Have you ever felt that your friends would understand anything, only to have them turn their backs on you when you really needed them? Melinda’s friends won’t even look at her, especially her old best friend Rachel, or should I say Rachelle (Ra-kel). All she wants is to speak the truth, but how can she do that if she can bearly find the will to speak, especially when he comes around. The only two things that are keeping her from going completely insane are her art teacher, and art. This book is inspirational, touching, and could bring you to tears. Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!

I started Breaking Dawn; the fourth book in the riveting saga on 5/ 23/09. The final book that everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. In this book, the predictable happens, and Bella and Edward get married. Then, the unexpected comes and something very unique is created. Bella finally receives what she’s been waiting for since she’s come to Forks, and she doesn’t regret it one bit. When everything seems like it’s going well, a war starts, and the powerful family the Volturi come, and that means serious business. When two people abandon the family, they start to lose hope, but in the end it’s a happy ending and you’ll still want to believe that a new addition to the series is to look forward to. Until next time, bye and happy reading!!!!Breaking Dawn

New Moon by: Stephenie Meyer June 29, 2009

Filed under: All, Stephenie Meyer — andreasays1 @ 3:29 pm

I started New Moon on 5/12/09. If you haven’t heard of Twilight or Stephenie Meyer, you must live in a cave. As all of you Twilight fans know the New Moon movie comes out this year, and is directed by the director of The Golden Compass. This book in the series isn’t my favorite, but is essential to the series, and essential for Jacob lovers. For team Edward you’ll read it, love the beginning, and love the ending. Edward and Bella face a separation that nearly kills them, literally. Jacob finds that he can have Bella to himself now, and takes full advantage of it. Wolves are on the loose, and a female vampire seeks some serious revenge. A sinister encounter with the oldest and most powerful vampire family, the volturi  will have you on your toes waiting for what will happen next……Until next time, Andrea says bye and happy reading!!!
